A wonderful understated Victorian gentlemans writing slope box. Constructed from solid mahogany with a green tooled leather writing surface. English and dating from circa.1850. Bearing a paper label for Robinson, manufacturer, 138 Strand. The box has a rich colour and patination. Comes complete with lock and key. 40cms wide, 25.3cms deep and 14.8cms tall.
