A superb large original antique sailor folk art scrimshaw. Hand made and engraved with a lady and child on one side and an Angel and child with a serpent at their feet on the other. Dating from circa.1820 judging from the style of the clothing. A large impressive conversation piece. 43.8cms tall and 7.6cms wide. 17 1/4 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
