   Sculptor Richard Liebreich (1830-1917)  Circa 1879 -stamped

 Sir Thomas Wells was an illustrious surgeon and President of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1883 and was also           Surgeon to the Household of Queen Victoria from 1863-1896.
