A fine large sized antique Regency gentleman's writing slope box. Hand made in England from Rosewood with mahogany crossbanding and inlaid pyramid shaped border of satinwood, ebony and brass. The interior has a green baize writing surface, fitted with various compartments and three secret drawers. The box dates from circa.1820-1830. 50.2cms wide, 26cms deep when closed and 8.4cms tall.
